Honda Cars Make More Light and Cheap

Japanese car manufacturers to adopt the design and assembly system that makes the car a new car production they can be lighter. Honda plans to pour tens of billions of yen to start production in Japan and overseas.

Nikkei reported Demikan as reported by Reuters on Sunday (25/12/2011). How tactics Honda makes the car lighter?




Usually the outer panel installation uses a lot of bolts and other reinforcement materials, but Honda has just weld the outer panel to the car frame. So the car was lighter.

This method will be used for Honda's small car model first and then others followed several years later.

Previously Honda has begun to reduce the size of the material, spare parts for mini cars produce N Box, which was launched in Japan last November.

Honda modify one production line assembly N Box. The move was also successful in reducing the weight of N Box of 10 percent and reduce production costs.

By making cars lighter and cheaper, Honda hopes to succeed in a developing country which is one of its priorities.
